2001
The dream to take more information to the rural areas came true by allying economic to social and environmental issues and starting to plant the sustainability seed. This is how the Genesis Institute was officially created with the vocation to meet the needs of the agribusiness.

2002
In the late 90´s, Europe was going through the nightmare of the Mad Cow plague. OMC – The World Trade Organization – imposed sanitary and commercial barriers for beef imports and the Brazilian cattle raisers had no way to prove the sanity of their animals. The Genesis Institute starts to do some research to develop a traceability system, which served as the basis for Sisbov. In 2002, the Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) Department was also created, with the participation of teaching and research institutions. It starts to develop technology transfer projects acknowledged by important certification bodies such as the DCA, Animal Certification Department for SISBOV certifications (the only Civil Society Organization of Public Interest in the country with this credential) and the DCV – Plant Certification Department by MAPA/Conab, as the first in the country in analysis and detection of Genetically Modified Organisms/ Transgenic. With a strong growth rate, in a very short time, the company opens branches in SP, MS, RS and MT, breaking grounds in the Brazilian agribusiness.

2003
The DCV, already accredited by MAPA/Conab, is named Geneslab Classificação Vegetal Ltda.

2004
In its first year of operations, the company analyzes more than one million tons of grains for GMO detection, almost 20% of the total soybean exported through the Port of Paranaguá that year, becoming the official Host Organization in Brazil of the EUREPGSAP protocol (future GlobalGap).

2006
Implementation of the first model laboratory in Brazil, at Ceasa Curitiba, for analysis and classification of more than 5 thousand tons of fruit and vegetables per year.

2007
Company certifies the first farm in the world with the GlobalGap protocol in Nova Mutum-MT. The Company is presented as a success case in 12th International Forum on “Business and the Rules of the Game” in Washington DC.

2009
An international expansion by the Mercosur begins with the opening of a branch in Paraguay.

2011
Creation of a holding for the sustainable growth of the company. With the acquisitions of Brasil Certificações, Genesis breaks into the market of inspections, establishing itself in the areas of GMP protocols and milk inspections.

2012
Brazil starts to have more super crops, logistic problems are a constant, and the group starts to invest in the silo-bag system to compensate for the lack of warehouses around the country.

2013
The pioneer work on developing technologies to accelerated the work in the field becomes evident with Geld Mobile and Conexão no Campo. The whole classification process, including the issuing of opinions and official documents, takes place online, with follow-ups in real time by the clients.

2014
The group receives financial contribution from the Actis international fund , starting a new journey as an international partner, implementing a corporate governance system and being audited by PWC.

2015
Operations begin at the Laboratory in the Santos Port, the largest in the country.

2016
Creation of the Genesis Academy to train and develop the company´s more than thousand collaborators and starts taking knowledge to the field.

2018
To increase and expand its portfolio of solutions, the Genesis Group joins Paripassu, a technology company pioneer in FLV traceability in Brazil , Tidbit, an agTech startup with the objective to develop projects with artificial intelligence and r-biopharm, starting to offer the market important tests for the detection and quantification of micotoxins in food.

2019
Still on the upswing, the group sets up a partnership with GR Classificações and Classnorte reaching a relevant position in the market of grain classification in Brazil, and with Laboratório Agrosafety, to complement its Laboratory Analysis portfolio.
